IOL APPOINTS BRIAN BROWN AS WEST COAST SALES MANAGER

August 22, 2014

IOL is pleased to introduce the newest member of our IO L.A.B. sales team, Brian Brown.

Brian will be covering the Western Region states; California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, Nevada, and Arizona. The addition of Brian to the IOL sales team will enable better service for our West Coast customers, and increased market penetration for IOL's products, especially the SYNTAX brand of connectors and cables.

Brian is a 25 year sales veteran in the high-tech field, having held sales and sales management positions with companies such as Intel, NCR Microelectronics, Symbios Logic, and LSI. Brian's experience and background in identifying and developing new customers, and his expertise selling into the Media & Entertainment, Manufacturing and Systems Integration markets will serve IOL's customers well in his new role.

"Brian's focus on our West Coast customers will deliver big results," noted Matt Schultz, VP & Shipping Clerk at IOL. "Brian's hard work, dedication and professionalism boosts IOL's sales efforts, and will bring added attention and assistance to our valued accounts. Brian's vast experience in the language and electronics of I/O - board level, code level and hardware level - gives IOL's West Coast accounts an incredible interconnect resource."

Brian says his claim to fame is having played little league baseball and attended high school with Ron Howard. He also claims that Ron's wife Cheryl was his junior high sweetheart. Obviously Brian has a vivid imagination.

Brian lives with his wife Kim, their 150lb Newfoundland "Dozer," and their 17-lb Cavalier King Charles Spaniel "Buddy," on a vast, sprawling ranch estate just outside of Colorado Springs, Colorado. The Browns enjoy hiking, skiing and riding their Harley in the Colorado mountains whenever they can. And while Brian loves baseball, don't ask him about the Colorado Rockies... it will only induce angst and deep depression.

Please contact us for more information on SYNTAX West Coast sales.

JITTERBUG DEMO & SAMPLES AT INFOCOMM 2014

May 8, 2014

IO L.A.B. Corp. will showcase the Jitterbug system at the 2014 InfoCOMM Show in lovely Las Vegas.

Since jitter is dissonant distortion, it is more audible than harmonic distortion. Jitterbug delivers crisp, clear digital audio off long cable runs.

Jitterbug manages jitter by reducing it to inaudible levels through clock waveform reclamation. Jitterbug also boosts the digital signal, enabling further transmission distances. Outputs can be configured to either mirror or duplicate channels.

Correcting even the best cable's faults delivers the highest quality digital audio signal.

Clock reclamation, jitter management, digital audio channel duplication, pass-through & signal boosting. Learn how this cool new product can help your customers route digital audio in new and existing wiring installations and applications as diverse as broadcasting, studio, theatre, stadiums, houses of worship and conference centers.

Please contact us to arrange a brief, informative meeting and to evaluate the 24 channel demonstration system at INFOCOMM 2014.

JITTERBUG INTRODUCTION AT NAB 2014

February 18, 2014

IO L.A.B. Corp. will introduce the Jitterbug system at the 2014 NAB Show.

Jitter was introduced when Sony and Philips introduced the CD in 1982. Playback jitter is the inaccuracy in the clock timing of digital data, and it is a pervasive problem with digital audio.

A long cable run to the stage may still need to be routed hundreds of feet further stage left and stage right. AES bitstreams in such cable lengths include line-induced jitter. In order to remove or reduce the jitter & deliver crisp audio, a reclocking scheme is needed.

IOL's Jitterbug supports AES3, IEC60958, S/PDIF & EIAJ CP1201 interface standards. Jitterbug directly accepts a cable run of AES audio, reclocks the audio data stream, boosts the signal & removes jitter. The audio is then biphase-encoded and driven back on to the cable.

The system supports audio up to 192kHz, 24bits, and features frequency sampling detection at 32kHz, 44.1kHz, 48kHz, 88.2kHz, 96kHz, 176.4kHz & 192kHz. Each Jitterbug board features 4 channels of AES audio. Six boards can be daisy-chained together to create a 24 channel system. Selectable audio inputs include 100ohm AES twisted pair or 75ohm coax.

The Jitterbug system is extensible, flexible and will be introduced at a remarkably low price point for such functionality and features.

Please contact us to arrange a meeting and to view the demonstration system.
